First, check the fuses, but most likely you have a leak that wrecked something. Check for the level of the brake fluid as it has a habit of leaking. Otherwise something else maybe even water leaked onto a control module under the hood.

let me know if you have further questions with this

Are you getting any SERVICE or other unusual displays on your dashboard display? If so, you can go to most major auto parts stores and they can do a free SERVICE DIAGNOSTICS TEST to determine what the cause is. The test involves the store employee plugging a hand-help diagnostics device into your vehicle's diagnostics plug, usually located under the dashboard. This will produce a code which may pinpoint the problem. You can then decide how to conduct the repair. If your vehicle does NOT display any service codes, here is a possible quick fix: Disconnect the POSITIVE(RED) CABLE FROM THE VEHICLES BATTERY. Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect the battery. This resets the vehicle's computer, and may fix your problem.NOTE:WHEN YOU DISCONNECT THE BATTERY, YOU LOSE ANY RECENT SERVICE CODES STORED IN THE COMPUTER. YOU MAY ALSO HAVE TO RESET THE CLOCK, SOUND AND VIDEO SETTINGS, ALARM, REMOTE STARTER, ETC. ALSO, BATTERIES PRODUCE EXPLOSIVE HYDROGEN GAS. AVOID PRODUCING SPARKS WHEN DEALING WITH THE BATTERY CABLE. WEAR EYE PROTECTION, AND MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS TURNED OFF. REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION BEFORE YOU OPEN THE HOOD.

Check that there aren't any globes blown on indicators or parking lights. Check all fuses and main fuses. Make sure battery is grounded well allso. Check inside engine bay for any loose wires that may be touching the body of the engine.

If a New Car radio has being installed, it might be wired wrong and need to remove and rewire. There are crossed wires somewhere in the car and cause this problem in Ford EA's alot.

My Ford windstar 2001 cruise control just stop working. it has 107,000 miles. Also, when driving the van sputters, it seem like the brake is being applied but continues to move.

is there brake fluid leaking on the wires under the master brake cylinder? if so you need to call ford about the recall. Its also suspected that this problem causes a malfunction in the abs system.
you can look up your recall info here http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/recalls/

ABS, A/c clutch, speedometer, odometer quit at the same time

Its your ABS system. There is a faulty switch/sensor on the master cylinder. It leaks brake fluid into the wires connected to it and causes the circuit to short, resulting in a blown fuse that controls the AC, odometer, speedometer, cruise control and ABS light to stay on. This can even cause a fire in the vehicle. A fire can occur even when the vehicle is turned off. To correct the problem go to this link - http://www.fordwindstarrecall.info/

2001 FORD WINDSTAR MINI-VAN HEADLIGHTS, DOME LIGHT,

The "door is locked" switch mechanism in the driver's door is not engaging when the door is closed. It is inside the door panel and right on the latch. It closes a circuot when the door is latched.

I was able to tighten the mounting on mine with some twist-wire and been right as rain for 3, 4 years now
