Your power steering pump serpentine belt is probably slipping. Check the belt for wear, cracks, etc. If it is not worn, try tightening the belt tensioner. If it continues to squeal, replace the belt. You might also want to check the power steering fluid for the proper amount.

When i turn th steering wheel the car makes a horrible sound like a rubber seal is worn out in the steering column

Does it do this when the engine is running? There is no way for it to make a sound with just the steering column. There are seals and bearings in the column but this sounds like pump squeel to me. That would be a bad belt or low fluid

Front end squeeling noise on 2007 honda accord

could be the power steering pump itself. If it has a bad bearing it will do that. Especially when you turn it makes the steering pump work a lot harder.

Why does the power steering pump drive belt squeel under load when its cold on 2004 hyundai elantra.

this sounds like the belt is worn and needs replacing.when its damp and cold if the belt is worn it will slip easier under this condition than in warmer weather.also the belt tension may not be proper.if this has a belt adjuster that you can adjust then the tension may need to be tightened.if it has an automatic belt tensioner(one that adjust tension all the time)like a serpintine belt then the tensioner may need to be replaced as the spring that crates the tension do get weak over time.

My 2004 GMC Envoy XUV was squeeling then I felt the pressure in the steering wheel and now turning the wheel is like a power workout at the gym. Can I change the power steering myself?

Sounds like the power steering pump has seized up. The question of whether you can change it yourself depends on your abilities and knowledge of auto mechanics, and having the necessary tools.

Shakes, steering wheel hard to turn. RPM's at 2 when going 15mph.

Have you checked the power steering fluid? Do the belts squeel when you turn the steering wheel?
I know this might sound silly but are your air pressures in your tyres correct? Low air pressure will cause your steering to shake at speed and it will be hard to turn at low speed.
I hope this helps,

After I start my car and start to move I can't turn my steering wheel and a few seconds later I hear a clunk and the belt starts squeeling.

Check the level of the power steering fluid and also the condition of the fluid. You do not want a fluid that is dark or smells burnt. It sounds as if the power steering pump is going out though.

Sudden power steering loss. Squeal when you turn steering wheel? Help

the squeel is coming from the powersteering pulley on top its made with a plastic that breaks off cause of the temperature but you can adjust it by loosening 2 bolts holding pulley and putting it against belt tighter but they came out with a new tensioner with out plastic wrapping .you can use theold one one come with out the 2 grooves that the one with platsic comes with..big squeeling not steering fluid check it first then check belt for looseness..

Steering wheel squeels when I make turns mainly in cold weather

It is probably a power steering belt or the power steering pump. Check the pump fluid, if it's okay get someone else to sit in the car and turn the wheel while you look under the hood. Listen to locate the sound.

Power steering noise

Sounds to me that the power steering belt is loose. If it is a 2.4 litre engine it has two serpentine belts. You should replace the belts especially if it was smoking.
