Question about 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

1 Answer

I have a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe and the high level brake light does not work, so I want to replace the bulb (I have replaced the fuse to no avail) I just cannot see how to get at the bulb though. Any help would be much appreciated.

This runs off a step up power invertor which takes 12 volts and steps up the voltage to 110 volts. the 3rd brake lamp is a sealed unit which will need to be replaced if wanted to operate again
All cars made in the past decade have this

R/L brake lights inop

If you replaced the brake switch at the foot pedal and it still doesn't work... both lights. Then you have a broken ground wire... both lamps feed from the same ground. If only one was working then you could suspect a live wire to just that lamp.

Lower R/L brake lights and cruise control stop working at the same time

Well before you listen to all these people and do all kinds of crazy random replacements I'd suggest the very simple very easy solution of checking the fuse. If the fuse is bad it's a 3 dollar replacement. If that doesn't work I'd replace all the bulbs, more expensive but cheaper than the control switch. If that is bad it's also a fairly easy fix but a little more pricey.

2004 Hyundai santa fe brake lights on passanger side replaced bulb still not working

Dude you need to do a circuit test to check for power at the bulb socket with someone pressing on the brake pedal, or use a short stick wedged against the drivers seat.
Have you had a towbar fitted recently, these are a constant source of faulty connections !

After having my 2006 santa fe serviced at 60000 miles, my cruise control doesn't work. I had it lubed, radiator flush, oil change, brakes checked, timing belt replaced, water pump replaced.

Try checking all of your rear brake lights to see if they are working. If you have a burned out bulb the control cannot complete the circuit and the cruise will not work. Dont forget the third brake light sometimes have more than one bulb in them so check closely to make sure that all bulbs are good.
