Maybe the cooling fan relay isn't switching the fan on or, maybe cooling fan is coming on but only on low speed? Is the cooling fan coming on at all ?

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. I would check to make sure the fans are working first. If they are not, check the fuse. When you are driving, the engine is getting a little wind. When your at idle, it is not. If the fans are not working, then the engine will begin to overheat. I would say that is your issue. If the fuse is good and the fan still doesn't work, you could have a bad fan or a bad wire. You will need to test the wires with a voltage meter or visually inspect them for damage. You could have a bad coolant cap, thermostat stuck or bad, water pump. But, according to your statement, I would check the fan first. Thanks for using FixYa.

Acceleration won't go past 3000 PRM at idle

The car does have a maf, but it is rarely the cause of rough idle. Rough idle is usually caused by vacuum leak, pvc issues, or idle air control valve. What does it do, specifically, and is the engine light on?

You should check you MAF sensor. clean your throttle body and change your spark plugs. shouldn't be anything if you say there is NO vacuum leak.would recommend searching your PCV valve for a vacuum leak

this car EFI, or CARB, ill toss COIN, EFI gas.
what 4 cylinder, name it there are 7 used.
I'll now toss my coin land on GAS 4 cylinder engine. (in usa?)
is it racing too fast hot
or RPM too low hot.?

we cant guess what your statement above means.
the exhaust manifold cracks will cause the 02 oxy sensors to LIE,
to go lean (0volts ) this cause the fuel injection
to go RICH, (cause and effect closed loop rules)
and can idle too slow. (see that word SLOW)
the wrong word you used, after reading this vast times.

"NOT idle at very low rpms"
i decode this to mean?
NOt idle at proper low RPM (800 hot)
or spec 800 rpm , is more clear
that means the idle races hot.
this word is in all books on cars. engine RACES

IF true RACES it's not :
the exhaust crack, but can be if engine EFI slams in to limphome mode, do the flash codes show 12?
you never did those did you , bad idea skipping that. Google isuzu diagnostic jumper and read.
it's not he fuel tank ever,. not RACING.

what can cause any map based engine to race
well frankly LOTS:

but can be reduced to: (physics +)
1: throttle cables jammed. no slack. bad.
2: throttle valve jammed (gunk below it does that)(in the throttle body)
3: all vacuum leaks, (put huge list here, ask)
4: ISC or ICA valves stuck open
5: engine not reaching and holding 180f will cause #4 above to fail, naturally. bad thermostat. cause.
6: someone hacked your TB. (ask)
TB = throttle body.

vacuum leaks is an all day wall of text post
i refuse. but do have links to them.

Temperature needle stays on the hot , have changed temperature sensor but it still stays on the hot and the engine is not overheating or leaking anything..what is making it stay on the hot

replace the thermostat,, and make sure that the fan engages , just because the fluids don't boil over doesn't mean the temp isn't to high, if your saying that the temp gauge is stuck on the hot setting, and doesn't move even when the car is cold,, thats a different problem,, if thats the case whats the make , model , and year

Hello your neon will hold up to 7.5 letters when completely drained however the only way to check your transmission fluid is when your engine has reached full operation temperature. The transmission fluid level rises when hot so adding to the fluid cold is NOT a good thing to do.Sounds like your not empty so i would consider returning the car back to the person who repaired it and bring it to the attention repair is still leaking bring you paper with you.

Hi. Are you runing out of water in the radiator or at the reserve? if this happens there might be leak on the radiator or to the hoses. If there is no leak, then this could be the cooling system of the car that is having a problem. Try to check first the water pump.

Idle fluctuates

Its could be a few things. Most likely cause is you IAC (Idle air control valve) If this valve gets clogged up with carbon it will cause a idle surge on cold starts like you are describing.

Next your FITV (fast idle thermal valve). When the hot wax inside of this valve starts to wear it will cause a idle surge on cold starts.
