SOURCE: i need to know where is the dip stick to check the
There is no automatic transmission dip stick on your car. There is a long procedure to check and fill and you will need special fluid from VW. Better left to the dealer. If you want the procedure let me know.

SOURCE: need to check the transmission fluid in my 2000 lincoln ls
Hello okiecouple, my name is JShreader. Thank you for choosing fixya.com
There is no "Dip Stick" on this Transmission. Instead, there is a Drain/Fill/Check Hole on the bottom back side corner of the Transmission. Below is a picture of it...
On these Lincoln Transmissions, for proper test results you need the vehicle sitting perfectly flat (in the shop, we have equipment to ensure the vehicle is perfectly level). I went ahead and made you up the Transmission Fluid Checking Procedure in .pdf format. You can download it by clicking HERE. I hope this helps you. If you have any more questions or need any more diagrams, please don't hesisitate to ask...Thanks again, JShreader.
SOURCE: can't find location of the transmission fluid dip stick ...
It has to be checked by the service center by raising the
vehicle and removing the bolts as in replacing the transmission fluid.
This was on the 97-99's. They have gone back to dipsticks but
unfortunately we are stuck with the service center.
YES you can do it!! Be careful not to overfill but do as
follows to check the fluid. As you don't have an ATF dipstick, you will
have two plugs facing down on the trans pan. The plug higher up on the
pan is the fill/level check (stamped/recessed into the rear right
corner of pan). ATF should just drip from this plug on a hot, idling
truck, in neutral on a flat surface. The lower one is the drain. The
one at the back of the pan in a recess is the filler. You need a squirt
pump or something like one to fill it with the engine running.
SOURCE: where is the Transmission fluid dip stick to add
Hello and Welcome to Fixya,
Very sorry Sir, as far as I know. The Dip stick is not included in this model. The transmission fluid must be checked only by the professionals at the dealership's place using special tools for the job (so that the unit shouldn't be over runned by the user and for long life safety of the engine).
You should contact the dealer near your place for the completion of the job!
