Toyota avalon 2000 battery flat ...put starter pack on battery start pack fully charged .....did not start car only clicked starter motor gone ?

Those starter packs are really for a boost . If your battery is dead
its better to replace it especially Toyota they seem to be finicky about a good stiff battery
if you have a multi meter put it on the battery terminals and have someone try to crank while observing the voltage
if the voltage drops below 10 volts usually that battery is on the road to letting you down

99 Dodge Ram won't start even after putting on a new battery. All the interior lights work and radio plays but it won't turn over its not a desiel.

Sounds like a bad starter motor or neutral safety switch or ignition switch. try putting it in neutral instead of park. Put your foot on the brake and turn the ignition. Do you even hear a clink of the starter solenoid?

Replace starter 2000 international 4300

On a level surface, chock the wheels, apply parking brake
remove keys and put in pocketDisconnect batteries, remove wires and tag them so you know
where they go when you put them back on, unbolt the 3 starter
bolts, usually 2 are easy to get at and one requires using a long
extension on a ratchet. once the starter is out, examine the teeth
on the ring gear that is exposed when the starter is removed to make sure that the teeth aren't damaged. If they are ok then install
the new starter, put the bolts in a couple of turns to support it, the wiggle it around until it drops into place. tighten the bolts equally
and reconnect the wires and tighten their connections, especially
the large positive and negative battery cables. If connected/mounted properly. and the batteries fully charged,,the new starter should
work immediately when they key switch is activated

I PUT A NEW STARTER AND SOILENOID AND A GROUND WIRE ON MY 95 F150 AND WHEN I TURN THE KEY ALL IT DOES IS CLICK

Joey, If your solenoid is "clicking" that means it is closing and applying battery power to the starter motor.Your battery or connections could be bad.Or in a very rare case. You may have got a defective starter. The solenoid is just a "switch".It handles the large current needed for the starter to work.Bad connections is the usual culprit.Check your battery with a volt meter on d.c. scale.Should read 13.6 volts when fully charged. Hope this helps

Just changed my starter and battery and battery connectors on my 2000 dodge caravan and just getting a click noise. Before I had put this starter I had on now the auto parts store sold me the wrong starter...

check to see if the other starter you put on drained your battery that is usually what the click means is that the battery doesnt have enough juice to make the starter turn your engine over its just got enough to make the starter try to engage and as soon as the load of the engine is put on it cant do anymore, so check your battery make sure its has a good charge. if your battery is charged and you still only get the click noise then you need to make sure all your connections are tight and are making good metal to meatal contact so that the electricity can flow through it all properly and the voltage from the battery can get to the starter

My battery turns on but it won't do anything it won't try to turn over or nothing, it hesitated to turn over 3 times before that now nothing. i

If you see the dashboard lights it does NOT mean the battery is charged enough for the starter to work. Charge it (overnight) or try to jumpstart the car. Or if you want to be sure measure the battery voltage. If it is less then 12V you need to charge it.

95 camaro 3.8 v6 . was driving and car suddenly died .charged battery over night. had it tested, was good. removed starter, it too tested fine. All I get when i try to start is a click. cleaned connections...

The starter is not the issue as you say the car suddenly died. That would not be caused by a bad starter or solenoid.

You car needs the battery to be charged to continue to run. While normally the alternator or charging light would usually come on, I think it has something to do with your alternaor not keeping the charge up on the battery. Without a strong charge, there would not be enough power to turn the engine over, which would explain the starter issue.

The fact that you said the battery had been charged overnight and there wasn't enough power to turn the starter over bothers me. While someone has told you the battery is good, I would take it somewhere else for a 2nd opinion. I have a feeling that the battery is at the root of the problem.
