Question about 1998 Cadillac DeVille
The problem is usually the crankshaft sensors. These are located on the front of the engine block and are kind of hard to get at.You have to do this from the bottom.Best done on a cold engine or expect to get burned from the hot exhaust. There are 2 of them and they need to be replaced as a pair. They are also both different so you need to be careful not to mix them up.I usually do one at a time.If you have the codes scanned you will probably have codes for the crank sensors in the pcm.Hope this helps and let me know if you have anymore questions.Good luck.
