Question about Volkswagen Golf

1 Answer

I would be grateful for advice. The red temperature guage icon on the dashboard bleeps once and then flashes constantly after I have started the car up and began moving.

There is a sensor on your overflow tank. It is telling you that the coolant level in the tank is low. Top it up and the light should go out. Hope this helps.

Why is my Fiat bleeping from the inside?

Its an audible warning, is your door closing properly? seatbelt connecting in the latch correctly? handbrake correctly released?, also check the boot and bonnet is secure and latched. Check the dashboard do you have any warning symbols, low oil fuel etc or a service indicator or warning light usually an engine shape or a service due message will be on your dash.If you are not sure go to a garage.

1999 VW Cabrio dash light

Obviously it's temperature gauge light. Check for coolant level first. Then check for coolant leak. If coolant is leaking out of your car, the lower coolant levels in your engine will cause it to overheat. If you have your heater on and it starts blowing hot air instead of cool, your engine is low on coolant. This will cause to flash a warning light on your car's dashboard.

I have a 1999 dodge durango that will start first thing in the morning when its cold but once it warms up and you turn the ignition off it will not start again till it cools down.

Have you checked your coolant level? Does the temperature gauge run in the red zone? IF the coolant is low refill with 50/50 mixture when engine is cool. Check for leaks on radiator and hoses running to and from the radiator . If the fluid is fine, watch the temperature guage. If it goes in to the red the thermostat/sensor may be bad and thinks it is over heating and will not let you start the car until it thinks its cool enough to do so. It will also do this when coolant is low.

Yellow warning light came on in frosty weather it then went red a started to bleep

This happened to my daughters car when she went to the snow. The focus has a temperature sensor fitted. It is intended to alert the driver of the possible need to use antifreeze on the car. On my daughters car the light and the alarm ceased as the temperature increased.

I have 2004 venture and a red circle with a water tipe kind of symbol start flashing in the dash.....what I supose to do??...and what does that symbol mean?

usually indicates engine is overheating, does vehicle have a engine temperature guage, is it going into the red? if so i would have the coolant level checked, if it is full you may need a new thermostat, don't delay prolonged overheating can cause permanant engine damage

Temperture icon flashes

if the light is blue it just means the car is not at operating temperature yet. let the car warm up before driving. if the light is red and only stays on for seconds check the coolant level. could possibly be a bad level sensor also if the light is red
