Lets try the basic stuff first. When was the last time you changed the air filter? When was the last time you had the fuel injectors cleaned? Try running a bottle of fuel injector clear to see if that helps you any. And when was the last time you changed the gas filter. All of the items will give you the symptoms your experiencing with you car. I don't think its a sensor at this point because you would be getting the check engine light on your dash.

I hope this helps you out, if it does please give me a YES that I did attempt to assist you. Thank you

Try cleaning the idle air control valve. I have seen this many times before and it can happen with the newer models too. You will rarely get a check engine light for this issue

The car dies out when i am coming to a stop over the past 2 days. starts right back up. no problems while cruising. sometimes rough idle at red lights over the past year

Replace the idle control valve, $12.00 part and two bolts on top of motor, easy fix. Rough idle is one coil going out. Wait for engine light to come on and go to autozone, have them tell you what cylinder is causing light to come on and buy new motorcraft coil, replace coil that is bad and problem is solved.

My 1986 Dodge Ramcharger is having issues while in idle. While just waiting at a stop light or just having the car in idle period, the truck will begin to shake intensly and after 5-30 seconds will die...

Have you tried setting the idle in drive? If you try that, have a helper setting in there with their foot on the brake and parking brake set. I've seen many high mileage vehicles, that wouldn't idle correctly. Other than an engine overhaul, we would set the idle in drive. At least it wouldn't die every time you came to a stop sign or red light. Yeah, when you put it in park or neutral, the idle would go high, but, you don't drive it in park or neutral.
You can get a carb kit for the carb, see if it helps? The carb kit should have all the instructions you need to adjust settings. In the past every carb kit I used had plenty of instructions. I looked at rockauto.com, they had a carb kit for your vehicle. Find the model number on your carb and make sure it matches their carb number.
If your carb is a holley, you can check the holley web site. I haven't been there in a long time, I don't know if they would have instructions for your carb?

My elantra is rough idling - chugging when I accelerate

I have experienced this. This seems to only happen when its cold out and you use the defrosters/AC. If thats the case then to fix/avoid this you can press the accelerator briefly (while in park/neutral) just to rev up the engine to about 2k or so, before you put it into gear.

Problems with 2000 S-type Jaguar

I have an 02 Jaguar S-type 3.0 liter with 86k on it. I bought the car cheap because the owner thought it needed new coils. What I found was the spark plugs were old so I replaced them, due to the fact you need to remove the intake manifold to replace the right side spark plugs, I found mismatched spark plugs. I also found moisture down in the plug wells on the 3 coils that were not firing. My solution was to replace all the spark plugs, clean and dry the coils and coil boots and apply WD-40 (water displacement - 40) liberally on the boots and in the boots. I put it all back together and it runs like a champ. No more check engine lights and no more stumbling and misfiring. So if you have the time to dismantle and inspect the coils and plugs its a good way to save some money. Or you can just replace the coils and hope the moisture doesn't build up again. Good Luck!
