Sorry - accidently hit the wrong button...

Anyway - as I was saying - a momentary loss of power to the VTSS Module or the Central Timing Module will cause the security system to go off and go into engine disable mode. simply put, your security system "thinksw" that you are trying to steal your own vehicle. A malfunction in the system will most likely have set a fault code in the Body Control Module. I would load test the battery (I said it is good, but I don't blieve it without a load test - please also review this article: The Most Important Part) Make sure all cables and connections are clean and tight - including those that fasten to the engine and body - not just the battery terminals.

If all of this is done and the problem still exists, then I would highkly recommendthat you have your body computer system scanned for fault codes.

Try this to reset the system

Insert the ignition key into the driver side door lock.

  • Turn the key counterclockwise to unlock the door.

  • Turn the key clockwise to initiate the alarm activation sequence.

  • Turn the key counterclockwise. The alarm will stop and reset itself.

    Turns over but won't start

I would start checking fuses for power. It could be a battery cable issue or something in the fuse box. The dash lights would not be powered thru the key switch, but the other stuff would be. Provided the key switch is getting power for accessories.

The instrument cluster in this van is really a computer display and it has malfunctioned. This is a common complaint on this van and you must remove the cluster and have it rebuilt to cure the problems. Check the WEB for repair sources. They can also provide complete instructions on removal free of charge.

sometimes turning the ignition on 3 times quickly without starting will reset the computer. If the van has power locks and keyless entry then try using only the keyless entry. Sometimes your car wont have a alarm but an anti theft device which will not allow it to start if it goes off or something triggers it.
