Question about 2003 Saturn ION
After five years of no problems with my battery, i have suddenly had the battery die three times in a row. I couldnt figure out what has been causing the drain in the battery other than the five years its been in my car. Now suddenly i noticed this afternoon that my car radio LED doesnt go off after ive been leaving the car...could this be the problem with the draining of the cars battery? It seems like an awfully small thing that wouldnt run off of alot of electricity. But i might be wrong...does anyone have any input? thanks.
I had the same problem it turned out to be my ignition switch of all things... sometimes it would turn on and sometimes not... I called AAA on 4 occasions my regular mechanic could not find anything on the diagnostic test and recommend I go the inexpensive route and replace the battery. It was not the battery I ended up taking it to the dealership the experts to give it a diagnostic and it turned out to be the ignition switch, never had problems since.
