Hi there! First off, are your rear air bags/suspension leaking? Or did you get some aftermarket bags that just need to be adjusted? I just want to clarify because i would hate to give you the wrong PSI ratings and your bags get ruined.

Also is it and E350 model? That make a difference of the type of suspention.

What is the PSI at now? Just increase or decrease in increments of 5psi. If you dont know if they are aftermarket you may never find out what the rating is. If you just adjust it at afew psi at a time you will be able to find that comfort zone. If the rig is bouncy or rolls around a lot the pressure is too low. If it feels like your back is going to break every time you hit a bump then it is too high. I hope this helps and sorry for the delay i had 13.5 hour day at work with no breaks.

How to repair licoln town car rear suspension

early 90's Lincoln town cars have rear air bag suspension and are very prone to failure. cost of one air bag is well close to 250 dollars.

this is a inexpensive fix for that issue. it is possible to install coil spring in replace of the air bags. you will lose the air ride but the cost will be under 100 dollars for both compared to 500 dollars for air ride replacement bags.

the coils that fit are the same year grand marque ford/mercury cars. so when ordering you order for same year as you car grand marque rear springs,

after market or even dealer cost under 100 dollars. they come will the spring seat as the set.

the repair is raise vehicle and support with jack stands. disconnect the lower shock mount so that it allows the rear axle to travel down. this will need to be done for the instillation of the new replacement springs.

next you will need to disconnect the air lines that go to each air back and pull the clips holding the top of the air bag into the chassis of the car. the bottoms float free so this is all that holds them in the car.

remove the air bags out of vehicle and tie air line up and away out of the travel of the car.

install the new spring seats on the rear axle and upper chassis mount.

install the spring top first. you may need to have an assistant pull down on that side of the rear axle to get enough clearness to get the bottom in the seat. you may also try jacking up the opposite side so the side you are working on travels down easier.

after both sides are in there upper and lower seated position.

jack up on the rear axle to install the lower shock mounts back in there original position. after done lower vehicle and recheck all seats to insure they are properly seated. if so you have completed the repair.

this will take no more that two hours start to finish. if you are familiar with a car it may take even less time.

Check for cracks in the rear bags. They wear out and weather, and then bleed out air.

What is correct tire pressure on 2000 pontiac grand prix gt?

Look in one of the rear door jams of the car. There should be a plate that has tire pressure settings for different tire sizes. Verify this pressure against the tires rated max pressure, it is on the sidewall of the tire in very small print. If the recommended pressure does not exceed the max pressure, fill it to that pressure. If it exceeds the max pressure, only fill it to the max pressure. This should be checked and filled with the tires cold (ex. before driving any substantial distance)

I need to know the correct PSI for cold tires for this vehicle. My check tire pressure sign is showing up on my dash board. 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. Thank you.

I run about 4 lbs below the max on the sidewall of any tire

That is not what is in any manual or on any B pillar label

So about 36 to 38 in the rear & 40 to 42 on front,
as long as your max is 44lbs

Your spare may be out of air & setting off the sensor

MY REAR AIR BAGS AND SHOCKS ARE DONE FOR ON MY 1988 LINCOLN MARK 7 IF I REPLACE JUST THE SHOCKS HELP ME OUT FOR A WEEK TILL I CAN BUY THE AIR BAGS PLEASE HELP P.S. AIR BAGS ARE TORN IN REAR ONLY?

Replace all your Air Bag Suspension with conventional
non air ride parts.

Too expensive to maintain air suspension on an older
vehicle.

There are several companies that offer those products

You can't use a car with deflated air bags, have to be
replaced

Air bags for chevy trucks can you put a "T" air

NO. A "T" will allow air to travel between the bags especially during turns and will be more pronounced at higher speeds and sharper turns. Hope this helps.

1995 Lumina: what should the air pressure be in each tire?...

Depens on the tire brand/type. All will list max pressure on side wall. Go a couple psi less than max front, 2-5 less than max rear.

Rear air bags will not raise up in cold weather. also the headlights dim and brighten when driving. and the door ajar messege comes on even when all doors are closed. and the radio will not always turn off...

It is not worth replacing the air bags at the cost. I suggest strutmasters.com who have conversion kits. Rear only is $220 and rear and front together are about $360. Did mine recently and I ride smooth and installation was easy. Also any half decent garage should be able to follow the great instruction and do it in a max of 90 minutes.
