Question about 2000 Mercury Sable
I would look into the owners manual if you have one for your vehicle, all manufacturers explain, what type of motor oil, they recommend, if you do not have the manual, look onto the oil filler cap, this is where you pour in the motor oil, i do know that ford recommends motorcraft part synthetic, some is 5 w 20, and some is 5 w / 30 weight. if you are still undecided, i would check with your local mercury / ford dealer.
