It sound like you have a problem with your instrument cluster. This is a common problem with GM vehicles. The gauges are erratic or not reading correctly? The clusters are now available aftermarket through some parts stores. You will have to give them your mileage so it can be programmed in. Then you just pull the old one out and plug in the new one and you are all set.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

Probably a loose or poorly contacting connector behind gauge panel ,remove gauge panel and check connectors for looseness or dirt corrosion etc

We have encountered several faulty instr clusters in those chevy truks and they do exactly wat u jus said. we usually take them out an send them to an electrical speedometer repair facility where they r overhauled. yellow pages or the internet should b used to find these repair facilities near u . one other piece of info would b to call ur dealership an inquire about technical service bulletins for ur year make an model an follow throgh on some checking procedures.

Check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge, when the truck stops See if the fuel injectors are getting a pulse with a niod light plugged into the harness "while cranking. motor". IF you get no pulses (NO flashing noid light) see if the security light is ON, on the dash. If the security system "kicks on" it will kill the pulses to the injectors.

1999 VW Cabrio dash light

Obviously it's temperature gauge light. Check for coolant level first. Then check for coolant leak. If coolant is leaking out of your car, the lower coolant levels in your engine will cause it to overheat. If you have your heater on and it starts blowing hot air instead of cool, your engine is low on coolant. This will cause to flash a warning light on your car's dashboard.

1999 silverado gauge lights do not work

You probably already checked this but the simplest solution is the control used to turn on the interior lights and to dim your dash lights. It is a dimmer switch to the right of your headlight switch. If it is turned all the way down then you would have no dash lights and no headlight chime. Turned all the way up it turns on your interior lights. If this isn't your issue and if no fuses are blown then try to turn the dimmer switch all the way up with your headlights on. If the dash lights come on with the interior lights then your switch is fried and you may have a short in the interior light circuit.

Under the carpet, near the gas pedal, there is a ground wire screwed in, and that connection is going to be corroded. Clean up the connection and be sure it is tight. I have an 04 chevy silverado v6.3, and my dash doesnt work none of the gauges speedometer, fuel, nothing works, but they did yesterday. What could this possibly be?

The stepping motors in the gauge go bad, but uusually they fail gradually, or just one, The dealer charges $300 to fix, do a search on ebay for CHEVY SILVERADO INSTRUMENT CLUSTER for cheaper repair options. gauges are powered by the pcm, no fuses inbetween, so if it runs ok, problem is in cluster
