Think timing is off. How do you reset the timing on timing belt?

Timing isn't set on the timing belt, that is valve timing and if that was out, your vehicle wouldn't run :>)

Sounds like you have IGNITION timing problems, lack of power, backfiring? It is not a job you can do yourself these days as you need specialist equipment. Take it to a repair shop for a tune up.

How do you set the time and date on my 85 oldsmobile regency brougham

You may need to buy a used owner's manual online for this.
I think you press time/date, then press Reset, then put the correct time and date in, then press time/date again.

Just replaced the ICM on ditributor on 92 mercury topaz 2.3L standard. How do i set the timing on that?

if its the one I`m thinking about ICM is mounted to the side of the distributor on the outside, you don`t have to reset the timing, unless you have been moving the distributor. there is a spout connector that has to be disconnected to set the timing. it is near the distributor and is a 2 wire connector that is grey in colour. its a shorting bar meaning the plug that is plugged into the 2 wire connector has no wires. when you pull the plug the timing goes into basic timing and you can set the timing. when you have set the timing shut off the engine and reconnect the spout, restart the engine and make sure the engine light is off on the dash.

I disconnected my battery in 08 tundra and now it wont idle

disconecting batt resets the computer. now it needs to learn how to set everything to run again. disconnect batt for atleast 60 seconds, re atach, start car it will start and die(dont press gas) do this over and over until it idles (could take up to 10 times). by pressing the gas you make the computer think it is idling to high so it keeps turning down the idle. it will idle fine after reseting computer and starting several times without hitting gas peddle.

I have a 2004 corolla and has a timing chain making noise , now i pull the timing cover out but forgot to align the marks, and i think i move my camshaft now i need to set the marks again , what u think

me think you um not give enough information.
You changed the belt?
Just reset it to tdc and align the marks like you were doing it for the first time.
If it is off a degree it will run. It will not run good.
Replace the tensioners when this done yes.
Align marks and reinstall.

How to reset the clock on dash

I'm thinking that your talking about the VIC is the Vehicle Information Center... Its the display unit between the radio & the ashtray.

You have to hold the "set" button while the time/date is displayed. Use the set button to change each section, then select to cycle through.

Hope helps with this.
