There will be no dipstick for a standard transmission, only automatic.an easy way is to go through a drive through oil change place,& ask them to check it. Or get a shop manual for that car, or you could crawl under the car & locate the filler plug on the transmission.remove the plug & add oil once the oil starts too run out of the fill plug it is full.

Does my 2008 toyota camry have a dip stick for the transmission fluid to check my oil

Toyota has used a sealed transmission for a few years which has no dipstick, look under the hood if it has a dipstick it will be at the front near the radiator and have a red handle on it, if not it uses the sealed transmission which uses WS(world standard) transmission fluid which according to toyota does not need servicing although most dealers recommend changing the fluid at about 100,000 miles.

Bought a used 2006 Toyota Corolla a few months back. Car has been working great until I noticed what I feel is a slight transmission slip. I checked what I think is the transmission fluid and it appears...

The transmission filler is located towards the driver side front of the transmission. Look for a tube with a red " T " on top of the tube. Check the fluid with the engine running, in park, at normal operating temperature. If you need fluid, add the type of fluid printed on the dipstick. Add the fluid thru the dipstick tube. Car maker says to change trans fluid every 100k, fluid manufacturer says every 30k ??????

Hello. Welcome to FixYa. Please allow me to assist you.
On your Matrix, if you have a transmission dipstick, you do not have 100,000 mile transmission fluid. All Toyota vehicles that have the long-life fluid do not have a dipstick installed.
We recommend that the ATF be drained and refilled at 30K miles, and flushed at 60 K mile intervals. Using this maintenance regimen, we never rebuild any transmissions.
Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance. If my assistance proves useful, please consider a 4 thumbs rating for me. I'd greatly appreciate it. Have a great day.

Hi!
Transmission fluid is added to the tranny thru the dipstick tube, you will need a small funnel. Do not overfill.

Cant find the dipstick on a standard jeep liberty 2003 to change the transmission fluid

The transmission fluid stick is usually toward the back of the engine. That's right where the engine transmission connect together. It should also be labeled transmission on top of the stick. To check transmission fluid level, you need to let it run about 5 minutes on a level surface, then check the level. When you check it,if you see little metal flakes on the stick, there is something very wrong with your transmission.Good luck! Frequency to changing transmission fluid on 2003 Corolla

I'm not sure about Toyota's specific recommendation but when I ran my service station, we changed trans fluid at the 50,000 to 60,000 mile range. This covered most manufacturer's requirements at the time. Hope this helps.

Transmission fluid change

It differs with use but for a rule of thumb you can look at the fluid on the dipstick against a white cloth and if it brown to black looking not a reddish color you should have it serviced.Either a drain and fill or a complete trans flush if it is black.Your trans will thank you
