You must be refering to your mirror or the OnStar system?
The light next to my emergency button is Green.
I suspect that a Red light means your OnStar subscription has expired.
You may have to contact OnStar to renew your subscription and payments.

I called them and verified there was no interruption in payment, They said it is showing active and paid, then called tech support and they said may need servicing. I am sure it would be costly to have checked so wanted to see if anyone else had this issue and resolved it on their own. No info on manual to assist, It is the red light on the mirror next to emergency button. It is usually green. No diagnostics report last 30 days, but Feb 28 report said all Onstar systems working. thanks

I have a 2003 S10. My rear turn signals work, emergency flashers work, and my 3rd brake light works, but my tail light brake lights don't work. What do I do?

Check for power and ground to the lamps. Most likely you have lost ground, since you replaced everything else.

1995 GMC Jimmy brake lights not working

Brake lights run through the hazzard switch. There are known problems with this, and the multifunction switch. You may need to buy a new hazzard switch and OR the multifunction switch. Before you do that, check the pigtail that goes into the brake switch up by the fender, make sure it's not shorting out up there. Happened to me!

Illuminated when emergency brake is not on.

Check your brake fluid. there is a float switch in the resevoir that will turn on the light.

I have a Pontiac Sunfire 2003, and the blinkers sometimes do not work even though I have activated them. The only way to get the blinkers working again is to turn on the emergency flashers, and then they...

Hello Goddard.
First thing is to verify all of the bulbs involved in the turn signal circuit are working. This will include the side marker lights. If they don't ll work the current flow may not be enough to properly activate the flasher.
Next on the list is the flasher unit itself. It is mounted on the bracket near the emergency brake pedal. Replace it, the contacts may be losing continuity and the emergency flashers would draw more current making it work.
Next would be the the signal switch itself. There may be some worn contacts and moving the emergency switch could position the contact point slightly enough to allow continuity.
If you would like more assistance on this leave me a message in "add comments" and I will check back.
I hope your repair goes well for you.

Cannot get back in my 53 plate laguna with key card, changed battery red light showing on card, what can i do next, also tried emergency key but doesnt appear to work.

unles you have a spare keycard your options are very limited, either way it will be needing main dealer attention as they are the only ones who can program key cards or order you a new keycard with emergency key

Brake lights quit working on the driver and passenger sides but the top middle lighgt works.running light and back up lights work no blowns fuses good bulbs. very puzzeling!

I recently had this problem,it appears to be in the emergency flasher first no brake lights but center one worked. the emergency button was stuck and hard to move but once i got it loose i had all brake lights, so thinking my problem was solved i checked all lights and then found i had no signal lights, i went bach to the flasher button because it was still very hard to move and pressed down further and all lights work now so i think this will cure most turn and brake signal problems. the flasher button is rarely used and collects dust so it starts to stick and when you dust your dash or bump the button it will stick between contacts and the lights stop working. hope this helps!!
