You have a vacuum leak some where. Start with the hoses, then try the canister just under the battery tray. Worked for me.

REPLACED BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL MODULE...Now blower is working but not very much air flowing out of vents! Fan speed is working...it heat and cools. but still not adequate air flow from the vents ..2000...

check your blower hoses to see if one or more have come loose or got redirected or the selector switch isn't functioning properly (is it blowing better on defrost as opposed to floor vents, or forward vents, etc.)
Good luck

A/C blows thru defrost on my 1997 jeep cherokee

sounds like you have a vaccum leak on your engine, the switch that controls where the air flow goes is controlled by vaccum. check your vaccum lines and check the switch.

2001 jeep grand cherokee wont blow air through vents

there is a flap to redirect the air flow under the dash, it may be an item like a pen :) that has dropped down the vent opening stopping it from moving to redirect the air ... failing that, one of the motors/cables that operate the flap has failed

Air conditioner direction switch will not switch off of blowing through the defrost vent and floor vent are these cable, vaccuum or electric

Look at your control panel. If it has a lever that you have to move from to cold, chances it's cable. If you have a digital readout, then it's electric. Vacuum will fall under the cable section.

Jeep AC blows cold air at defrost and feet but not through vents

There is a flap that directs the air. the flap is controlled by a vacuum actuator. This is located inside the venting. The actuator is connected to little vacuum hoses that attach to the temperature control switch. Either the flap is stuck, or the actuator has gone bad.

Air coming out the vents

The flow direction is accomplished with vanes that are dependent on engine vacuum to operate. You may have a hose off or cracked so the vanes are not answering to the settings you choose.

Air flow selector

Your mode door is controlled by vacuum check the vacuum hose on the left side of the intake manifold. these some times fall off leaving your mode door with no vacuum and the default position of the mod door is defrost.
