Wiring harness. The lights burn all the time, which causes the plastic harness to heat up. The contacts inside the harness dont make a solid connection with the bulb. Easy, inexpensive solution. Just replace the harness.

Helloo air....test the bulb socket to be sure you have power to it. if not, check the wires and especially the ground wire. you may have a poor contact where the ground wire is attached to the frame. Joe

  • For the tail light you first need to remove the brake light that is part of that assembly.
  • Open the trunk.
  • Inside of the trunk is some matting you need to pull down a bit.
  • You may need to remove a net first.
  • Once you pull the matting/carpet down you will see some plastic wing nuts around the are of the brake/tail light.
  • Remove them.
  • Now wiggle the brake light out
  • Now wiggle the tail light out.
  • Twist the socket to the bulb that is bad out.
  • The bulb just pulls strait out.

Have a 2006 Hyundi Sonata, left rear tail light bulb is not working, how do i replace the bulb? Do i need to take it to the dealer toget fixed?

Open the trunk and look at the panel closest to the left rear light. The panel should open easily then the bulb can be removed by twisting left and pulling outward. There may be other bulbs in there like stop lite, backup lite. Make sure you get the tail lite.

Hope this helps you

Left tail light doesnt work. which fuse

If only one light is out, just replace the bulb. If the fuse was blown, both tail lights would be inoperative.

Right brake light out; tail light works fine

most rear tail lights and turn/stop lights are the same dual filiment bulb. it is possible for your tail light to work and your brake light not to and still have a bad bulb. I would check the bulb first, your brake light works on the left yes? this would mean that the fuse is fine

Left rear tail lights/ blinker will not come on

Blinker too fast, the same side blinker light bulb on the front (or back) is burned. Check the fuses for the rear lights. You might have a light bulb filament stuck.
