Hi.
the following site should enable you to date your jeep from the vin number.

http://www.jeepfan.com/tech/tech_vinref.htm

i think your number is between 1962 and 1971 with an open body, but you may want to double check on this site yourself.

The serial number on my jeep gladiator is 3406x19. what year is it?

Your VIN is not complete, you need the 6 digits serial number which follows "3406X19" to guess the year. "3406X19" only says that it's a J3000 with a Buick V8 and a 6000 lbs GVW.

The serial number holds all of the information that the car has including the make and the model, if you were to give the people that you are buying parts from your serial number then they will be able to tell you what it is.

The serial number on my old jeep truck is 3406X10258. What year is it?

I couldn't find the exact year from your serial number only a year range which is 65-71.

Your serial # breaks down as follows.

34 = 1965 - '67: J-3000 4WD, Gladiator or 1968 - '71: J-4000 4WD, Gladiator
06 = 1965 - '70: Cab & Chassis, Truck or 1971: J-2500 Cab & Chassis, Truck (This means it did not come with a bed from the factory.)
X = 1965 - '67: 6000# GVW or 1968 - '70: 6000# GVW, also console shift Wagoneer (1414X) with exterior metal type feature panels or 1971: 6000# GVW, J-4600, also console shift Wagoneer (1414X) with exterior metal type feature
1 = 1965 - ' 71: Left Hand Drive

You should be able to narrow it down a bit more, however it's going to take comparing pictures of the various years within 65-71 and looking for changes to the style such as grills, headlights etc.

I bought a jeep motor and i need to know what year model the motor is. Where can i find this?

some of the core and block parts on the motor will have some form of serial number on them to distinguish models and years of the cars they were made for any form of serial identification can help determine your year.

What year and model is a jeep with serial number 4J12536

The number that you show us is the ENGINE NUMBER, not the serial number; I'm assuming that you have any Willys '50's; check this sample list...

Several details can find in the CJ3B Index

Hope helps.

Dont know

Should be a serial number stamped into the engine block. Maybe located below the left side of the head, on the block. Or, on the rear of the block. Look for it. It will tell you what year and model the engine is, at least.
