Hi, if you are jumping to the battery terminals and getting it to start, clearly the battery is not providing power to those same terminals. Remove and clean the terminals, then reattach tightly.

It sounds like you may have a bad starter solenoid and the extra voltage from the jumper vehicle is enough to complete the circuit through the solenoid to allow the starter to turn over.sometimes the solenoid contacts get very dirty and can`t complete the circuit on its own without a jump.i think these have a bosch starter system on them and you can replace the contacts only in the solenoid.

What prompted you to change the CPS? Was the issue existing before and you tried to solve it with a new CPS? I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee that kept giving me a bad CPS code. I replaced it and the problem didn't go away. Ended up being the computer.

My '98 Dodge Grand Caravan only clicks when I try to start it. We tried to jump it and it acted like it wanted to attempt a start once, but that was it. We have checked the cables and there's good...

I can't believe no one suggested perhaps removing the battery connections and cleaning them and reinstalling. Your battery or charging system may still have issues, but sometimes this with a good jump connection will get you going again.

Sometimes when i try to start my van, i hear clicking and no start, but will start eventually, always starts when van is warmed up, had battery, alternater and started checked, all are good, i think it...

the clicking you hear is the starter solenoid due to bad electrical connection, low battery charge, bad battery cable or bad starter solenoid.

2004 Dodge Caravan won't start...just a clicking noise...

Check the battery first. Just because the lights are on doesn't mean it has enough power to start the van. If you or the van has a volt meter, the battery should read at least 13-14 volts to be good. If the battery is good then the alternator is good and we move on to the starter solenoid. I'm sure it's one of these. Do the lights go off or very dim when you turn the key? If so then battery.

Van will start when you jump it but if you shut it off it wont start again??

check if battery is good if good you may have bad starter. the extra volts is probably enough to get starter going, also make sure battery connections are clean and tight.

My 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan will not turn over. All I get is a "Click." The Alternator and starter were just checked out and they are fine. Is there some kind of electrical relay switch that could be bad?

Try taking both battery connections off and cleaning both battery posts with like a wire brush then take like a piece of 150 grit or so sand paper and put it in the end of each battery cable and sand them till they are fairly shiny then hook battery back up and try and start the van.
