Question about 2000 Ford Crown Victoria

I just pruchased a 2000 cv p/i and droves it appx 230 miles back to my home with no problems at all now I shut it off and it won't turn over I have power lights horn power locks etc etc we charged the battery but still nothing ..help lol ..thanks Mike

Just a guess Mike, but that has all the symptoms of a security system thinking you are stealing your new car-try locking/unlocking the car with the keyless remote fob, or the door key pad (if you have one)-make sure it is in park, if that doesn't work, put it in neutral and try to crank it-Hood, trunk is shut, right? Call the former owner and ask questions, use a voltage meter (digital) and check the battery voltage (should be at least 12.5)-

There should be a button under the dash close to the brake pedal press it and try to start the car :) hope it works

Check brake lites if fuse is blown it will not start in park only in neautral.Turn key to on-- shift to neautral and try starting,if it starts fix brake lites good luck.

Coolant problems


Gday mate,geoff here, try lifting up the carpet to see if it is wet, if it is then it's a leak in the heater core/hoses under the dashboard, hope this helps,geoff.

Steering wheel violently shakes.


that is usually caused by bad engine mount this condition usually changes the distance of the cv joint and the differential which cause the cv joint to shake. also check your ball joints.
