Question about 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
Hi, why are you looking for the fuse? Are your washers not working? Did you check to see if you had power at the washer pump motor? If there is power present, there is no need to find the fuse. Washer pump motor failures are common. Replacing a blown fuse will not fix your car until you find out why the fuse blew in the first place. Simply replacing the fuse will only serve to make you spend money on another fuse.
First look under the hood and see if you have washer fluid. I know this sounds stupid but it is the first thing you should check. If you do, then turn on the spray function and see if you hear a noise. If you do then you either have a busted hose or a clogged line. If you dont then you will need to locate your fuse box ( usually under the dash or under the hood) and find the windshield washer motor fuse and see if it is blown. Your owners manual should tell you where the fuse box is located and the names and locations of each fuse. If it is blown then first try replacing it to see if it blows again. If it does then you have a loose ground wire or power wire or too much amperage is going through the wires and blowing the fuse. Do not put a larger amperage fuse in the fuse box because then it will not blow the fuse and it will burn the wiring which could cause a fire. If this is the problem i recommend taking it to a professional. If it doesnt blow again then you had an intermittent problem but fuses dont blow for nothing unless something causes it to blow.
