Question about 2003 Oldsmobile Alero

1 Answer

Locked my keys in the trunk & my latch is broke I read the other person that stated you can: push on the front of the back seat and lift at the same time, it should release from the hooks that lock it in. You should be directly inline with the front seats when you're pushing on it and you may have to use quite a bit of force. Hope this helps. Was this helpful? No I guess my Son and I arent strong enough

Who do I remove rear seat for a BMW 760li?

Most rear seats need to be unlatched from the very bottom on each side. Try sliding the driver and passenger seats fully forward. With your back against the front seat press forward toward the trunk on the bottom of the rear seat on one corner at a time near the floor and lift up. This should release the latch. To replace the seat simply slide the seat back into place with the front slightly raised upward and push the seat in toward the trunk then push down til you hear the latch catch.

Getting in the trunk

if latch does not work ,you will have to get in from back seat,if it does not fold down look at floor level front of rear seat for a release for seat,if you see nothing try pushing back on bottom front of seat and lifting up.Back of seat should have fasteners on each side, remove and lift up on seat back, should have some accessto get to pull emergency release in trunk

My 06 malibu rear seat will not go down due to stuck switch

Push on the seat to the rear while pulling the cable release. Sounds like latch is adjusted too tight. If this works make adjustment before putting the seat back up. Open trunk & you should also be able to get to the speakers and the latch for the seat back. May require a screwdriver or something narrow & long to push on the latch arm while another person pushes & pulls the seat back to unlatch.

'91 LS400, trunk will not open. key will not turn, electric latch switch clicks but won't open. valet lock in open position. Tried 1) disconnect battery, reconnect battery, use switch, push down on...

If you hear the sound of the electric latch switch, then it's working but stuck somehow. Just put the key in the switch and turn it to the right and then pull up the trunk or ask someone to help you. it will open. I tried it today and it opened with me. It was stuck from inside by some kind of a broken plastic pieces. Just removed it and now it's working fine. good luck

2005 ford focus need to fold back seats down.

Remove back seat ,bottom first push seat in the middle with both hands ,lift after you have pushed on seat this releases the catch.remove the top part of the seat you will need to remove 2 screws lift srtaight up the seat will come out ,now you will see sound deadning material ,remove ,carefull not to tear, with flash lite look at inside of trunk lock area ,you will see a slot on the latch ,use regular flat screw driver to insert into slot just turn right ,left the trunk will open .you can take out trunk lock cylender out and any lock repair shop can re key the lock by looking at the tumblers inside the cylender.Good luck I know this will work ,sounds like a lot of work but not realy.
