Question about 1991 Chrysler New Yorker

1 Answer

What would cause the lights to go off a few minutes after you switch to high beams on my 1991 Chrysler New Yorker? First, they start to flicker some, then turn off. I turn off the high beams and the low beams work like normal.

Check the vacuum lines to each door. They may be disconnected from the engine or cracked and leaking. The vacuum lines go back to the head light switch too so make sure all hoses are connected.

Can't find high beam switch

The high /low beam actuator is the switch stalk itself. Either pull it back to the wheel to change beams each time or push it to the dash for one beam and back to the wheel for the other beam

My 91 New Yorker head lights work off and on. Now the brights are stuck on with no low beam and no signals. Any ideas? A short maybe in the signal handle?

No it sounds like a faulty turn signal switch. The entire lever controls turn signals and high beam dimmer switch.

Headlights flickering

This could be caused by a lot of different things,,but usually it is the fault of the Headlight Relay.
Try replacing the relay before going further.
