White /light blue smoke is a sign of a blown head gasket or intake gasket when you changed the oil filter was it creamy cause if it was then is a head gasket

What is diagnostic code 22 for a 1994 Jeep Cherokee grand limited

That code is for the engine coolant temperature sensor. "...input above maximum acceptable voltage." I would try a new temp. sensor. If that doesn't fix it, you may need to have an engine scanner hooked up, and see what the sensor is sending to the computer, and go from there.
A bad coolant temp. sensor can cause hard starting like your symptoms.

How does iac work on a jeep 1996

If you have not done so pull the engine codes or have someone do it.
The codes will give you a good idea where to start otherwise the first place I would check is replacing the Crankshaft Position sensor. This is not only very common for them to fail but I have 1994 Laredo and 1996 Laredo and both had the same trouble at exactly the same time. In addition I replaced the Intake Air Temp sensor, coolant temp sensor and idle air control valve on the 1994.

I have very little heat from the heater in my 94 jeep GCL. It went out at the same time the temp gage stopped working. I just had the engine rebuilt? What do I look at first?

Did you replace the thermostat? If it's bad your engine could be running cold, not letting the coolant get hot enough to get proper heat AND making your temperature gauge read cold.

I have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee 8 cyclinder i recently replaced the radiator and water pump and thermostat and now every couple of weeks the temp gage goes up to 260 and the truck is still runing fine i...

You won't like my answer but it sounds like you have a head gasket going away or a cylinder head is cracked. What is happening is that exhaust is getting into the cooling system and eventually pushing the coolant out of the heads. That's why after you bleed it out it's OK till it fills up with exhaust again.

The two things in your Jeep that control the air fuel ratio by temp are you coolant temp sensor and your oxygen sensor. Usually when one of these fails you would get a check engine light but not always. If you did, you can flash the the codes yourself and see what went wrong http://wiki.answers.com/Q/1993_Grand_Cherokee_check_engine_codes It also sounds like a clogged catylytic converter could be at fault. Good luck on the hunt for the cause - I hope this steers you in the right direction
