Question about 2001 Toyota Echo
There is a defective mechanical part between the lock cylinder and the column. keeps the column from turning as a theft deterrent. that part is going to be an expensive dealer item. however if you buy the part, most any repair shop can put it in for you. i would call around to autobody shops and see their labor rate, might be cheaper and faster and they are more used to taking interiors apart than your general repair shop.
