Changing the spark plugs on a 4.0 engine is very straight forward. If you have ever changed spark plugs before then you can do it on this engine. It's a straight 6 and simple engine design and they are all easy to access. Although for 2001 and up they did make it slightly more complicated here is a writeup on how it's done:
Thank you,

First check the security system by locking and unlocking the passenger door with the keys. Then make sure you are getting spark to the plugs.

Does V6 Cherokee Larado have a timing chain or belt?

First off, if you have a 2004 Grand Cherokee with the 4.0 liter 6 cylinder engine, then it is an inline 6 rather than a V-6. To answer your question, it has a timing chain.

Where are my spark plugs on grand cherokee larado fuel injection model located as there is no distributor either?

what engine? on the 4.0l they are on pass side of engine under a long plastic cover with 5 15mm bolts and a plug at back for the coil packs and all come off in one piece so after all the bolts are out gently work the thing up a little at a time working your way down until it world free, easy job to do just be careful of any wires you might pull on and heater hoses need to be held out of the way.

Check out all info on There should be a detailed list if you wanna go by the book. If youre wanting to keep it simple just do the major items

Replace trans fluid and filter
Have gear oil checked in rear-end and transfer case
oil change (preferred synthetic and performance filter)
air filter (high performace)
spark plugs and wires
have ball joints and u-joints checked and entire undercarriage greased
change all o2 sensors (helps with mpg)

That should be penty good enough for another 20k miles before major check up. Stephen

Where is the gas leaking from? To clear a flooded engine, keep your foot all the way down on the gas pedal while you try to start the car. As it starts keep holding until it sounds like it's smothing out then slowly release. You can also change the spark plugs if that does not work.
