Question about 2004 Pontiac Grand Am
If it was a security program problem the security light should flash. The 10 min thing is correct, except you have to turn the key enough to turn the starer for a second and then leave the key on in the run position without turning it off for 10 min. You may have to do this three times to program. Make sure you turn the key all the way off for about 15 sec in between each cycle though. It could be a bad passlock sensor also. Do you have any after market remote start or security systems on the vehicle? that could cause the problem also, if it is a security thing.
