How long does it take to change out a o2 sensor on bank 2?

More time would be spent getting the car in the air on lift or jacked high enough for you to get at the sensor, unplug the sensor and remove and replace 20 mins tops....

Where are o2 sensors location

One would need the year, make, model, and engine size to tell you exactly where they are and how many.

O2 sensors are always in the exhaust stream, either in the exhaust manifold that is attached to the engine, or in the exhaust piping after the exhaust manifold. Some models have one for each bank of the engine, and some have only one sensor to monitor oxygen content. These engine sensors that the computer uses to "fix" or adjust the air/fuel ratio are called the upstream oxygen sensors. If the car is equipped (as most are today) with an oxygen sensor after the catalytic converter, this is called a downstream oxygen sensor. They are the same and do the same thing, but the downstream sensor is only used to monitor the efficiency of the converter. The upstream sensor(s) are what the computer reads to adjust or "trim" the fuel delivery.

So some older cars have only one o2 sensor. Not far from the engine in the exhaust stream. Some newer cars with dual exhaust (2 converters) may have four o2 sensors. 1 for each bank of the engine and 1 behind each catalytic converter. A 2005 Buick Century with a 3.1L engine, for instance, has only two o2 sensors: one (upstream) in the exhaust down pipe, and one (downstream) just behind the catalytic converter.

I have a 2003 Mountaineer v-8 AWD with "check

Left side,Drivers side

Either in the converter inlet or just ahead if it

Bank (1) Pass Side
Bank (2) Drivers Side
Sensor (1) closest to engine
Sensor (2) monitor sensor in outlet of converter

An O2 Code does not mean it is bad or needs to be replaced.
Could be any number of other causes that set a MIL Lamp

Diagram of the location of a down stream o2 sensor on a 2005 chevy malibu.

Hi,
Downstream sensor is screwed into exhaust pipe after the catalytic converter on most models. Depending on your exhaust configuration, your code will say bank 1 or bank 2 or no bank designation. Some have converters coming off each cylinder bank (exhaust manifold off cylinder head) if only 1 converter in system (no bank) there will only be the one O2 sensor downstream.

I have a O2 sensor out. It is bank 2 , sensor 1. Where is this sensor located? I have the exact sensor thru Car MD but it doesn't tell me where bank 2 sensor 1 is. Can anyone help? Thanks!!!!

sensor one , bank 2 ( bank 2 is where cylinder number 2 located, in this case it's in the front ) is in the front of the vehicle and mount before the catalytic converter, most likely on the exhaust manifold. the one after the cat ( or down stream is the sensor 2 )

Engine code p0171 right bank running to lean

This sounds like an O2 sensor, there are 4 O2 sensors, 2 for each bank, 2 up stream by the exhaust manifold and 2 down stream by the catalytic converter. However the information you have given is limited, the explanation for the code seems to be missing some information. Ex: right bank sensor 1 to lean.

Cant find bank 1 sensor 1 oxygen sensor on a 2001 toyota tundra

Drivers side is bank 1, sensor 1 is found by looking up from under the truck on the exhaust pipe just below the manifold.

Check engine light is on

P0135 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0136 02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank I Sensor 2)
check for a blown fuse, if it is blown replace it, if it blows again after engine is started you have either a shorted O2 sensor or the wiring leading to the up stream or down stream sensors.
