Try replacing a fresh power steering pump with yours. The used one may not suit your car. I came to know a site which has all car parts which includes power steering pump for your car make. Have a visit at this link.

You need to bleed the rack. you can try to turn the steering wheel to the left and hold for 5 sec and then to the right and hold, continue this a few times check fluid and repeat. you can also try to loosen line on rack and turn wheel to bleed air out then tighten before turning wheel again.

The power steering on my 1992 Lexus LS400 has real bad hard dots when I turn rt or left. It gets real stiff & then the hard spot releases if I keep turning the steering wheel. I'm thinking it's the power...

this problem indicates a bad steering rack. the bushings in the rack are worn and have caused groves in the housing causing the binding. the only solution is to replace the steering rack. if a problem was the power steering pump it would not get easy when you turn the steering wheel further the problem would be there all the time.

Troubleshooting power steering after pump, rack &pinion have been replaced

I would say you have a defective power steering pump since the rack is replaced. You did bleed the air out right? Raise the front wheels off the ground and slowly turn the wheels left to right and see if the air is bled out of the system. There is not "reset button"

As mentioned check ps fluid. If it wines when turning and still no power then the pump is internally bad.. If the fluid is dissapearing fast then its a hose or most likely a leaking rack& pinion assembly..

Steers as if it has no power steering

you will notice the rack and pinion if it is the trouble because when you steer the steering wheel the end play is very big because the specifide end of a steering wheel is only 25mm (+)or (-) 5mm.

then if the end play of the steering wheel go on the rack end pinion and look for other guy who can steer the steering wheel
so you can see the movement of the rack end pinion, one thing once the rack end pinion has a oil leakage i'm sure that the trouble was at that point but if no of what i have mentioned may be the trouble goes to the oil pump, but you can notice if the problem is on the steering pump it will create a noice ,hard to steer and you can see the oil will have a bubbles

Steers hard when turning around in the drive or when turning left or right from a stop sign, have replaced the power steering pump, new rack & pinion, new high pressure hose, had car aligned, am completely...

try lucas power steering stop-leak. drain some of the fuild and then pour that in. it is for surging rack & pinions, not just for leaks. if that doesn't work then you may have a defective rebuilt rack.
check power steering pump pressure, might be weak.
