Question about 2001 Mazda Tribute
A. Disconnect the positive battery connector first, let it sit for atleast 5mins. then reconnect it again. Crank the car and observe how it goes.
b. If the problem still persist, try to have the battery checked. It may be faulty and there's a possibility that it's not holding charge which can make the starting hard.
c. If the battery is good then I suspect that the MAF(mass air flow) sensor is faulty. The MAF controls the vacuum supply on the car that when it's faulty the idle becomes erratic. May experience hard starting. May cause stalling when car is running.
