Question about 1995 Chevrolet C1500
All the pulleys in ur system should turn freely with belt removed.ur tensioner should also move wen forced an retract wen released.some vehicles especially chevys should have a belt routing diagram on ur fan shroud.if not wen u purchase a belt for example at autozone if u look at the sleeve on ur new belt ,some actually have belt routings on the sleeve. ur belt should wrap around bottom of crank (lookin at motor) go under waterpump towards pass side then bakside of belt should wrap around top of waterpump go all the way down toward dr side go under an around power steering shoot straight up to ac comprsr go around top of compressr then route belt over to passenger side under idler pulley in center an on top of engine then over to ur alternator wrap around then down to tensioner.wher u need to unload tension an install final routing of belt
