Better look at the blender door. this is a vacuum controled door that allows hot or cold air to flow into the HVAC system and blends the temps together to make the desired temp for you, but if this is electronicly controled you might have a temp sending unit bad or even a control unit bad, as for the miss fire most people wouldn't know a miss fire from a bump in the road anymore. engines anymore if there is a missfire code, there is a missfire, find out what cylinder if missfiring and replace the sparkplug, wire, or coil, you can have the wire loaded to see if its the spark plug or not, and then get the coil tested as well, this will say you money inthe long run since replacing random parts if a waste of money on your part. test it and find the failing part and replace...

I have an1988 Chrysler fifth avenue. It has a miss, when you pull up to stop sign or red light it will stall out and die but starts right back up, sometimes back fire through carb if you hold gas throttle...

Check for a vacuum leak under the hood. Most heater and a/c systems rely on vacuum pressure to open and close doors and direct hot and cold air. The vehicle stalling could also be that vacuum leak. Look for a small diameter hard plastic hose. They always seem to dry rot, if it's bad it will fall apart when you move it. Best way to find a leak is to use a 2'-3' piece of water hose. Put one end against your ear to listen for vacuum leaks while the engine is running.

When i come to a stop when car is cold it seems to miss fire an dies also will quit in park cold

Cold engines require more fuel to run evenly and yours isn't being enriched enough. There are two items which can affect cold operation; cold-start valve and the idle air control. If both are present, one of them probably isn't working as it should.
You might try having your computer scanned at one of the chain auto parts stores if you are in North America. Call to make sure they still do it free of charge.

1991 Chevy Caprice has a mild miss fire and stall at low rpm: This is my latest update: I checked and cleaned the EGR,PCV,IAC valve, M.A.P sensor and Throttle body(bore/butterfly). with carb cleaner....

Do you have the idle speed turned up to keep it from dying? Because it is high. Check engine light on? Have you checked for vacuum leaks at the gasket under the throttle body? How does the car run under acceleration? You might have a worn distributor shaft.

Hesitation in engine

Actually there are two kinds of engine hesitation. One is from fuel then two is the air .The mechanic should check on the fuel filter .look if the fuel that is going to the fuel pump is dirty or worn out . check the fuel filter then look if it is dirty and needed to be replace or change. Then the second is that the air filter it should also be check if dirty then replace it so that no dirt will go to the engine . if these problems are not solved then the cylinder will be having a problem that will cause the engine to hesitate. And always check the fuel you use to place to the fuel thank if dirty or diluted just to be sure.
