You need to take it to a Nissan dealer and have the necessary adjustments made. The Idle Volume Learn can only be done using the Nissan Consult computer and only dealerships have these.

At a stop the jeep want to shift or lunge forward

If it is dropping out of gear and back in at stops, this could just be low fluid. If the fluid is good, look at cleaning the inside of the throttle body, to include the back of the throttle valve. Build up clings here and air restriction can cause the IAC motor to do funny things.

My 2001 Dakota has low idle.

Its very likely you have a TCM problem Throttle Controle Module. But be happy if this is it because it is very simple and cheap to fix and replace. It is a little black module (on the drivers side I beleive) on side of the Throttle Body itself held by 2 opposing bolts. easy access and simple. % minutes and your done.

sounds like your transmission. if the fluid is red or in your case, a really dark red almost brown, then it is your transmission. you might be able to catch it in time to have the leak fixed and save the transmission.
