Question about Kia Spectra5
Rear caliper pistons may need to be rotated clockwise in order for the piston to go back in. There is a special tool called the "piston cube" sold at popular auto parts stores for this purpose. Better parts stores even "lend" tools as part of a loaner tool program.

In the back the caliper pistons actually have to be turned... you can either do it with something that can fit in the two v-shaped notches, or you can buy a tool from Autozone, etc. that will fit on a 3/8" drive ratchet to turn the piston back in.
I did this myself for the first time about 4 weeks ago. Confused me until I asked an Autozone employee.

you should have to turn in the caliper piston there is a special tool for this looks like a cube and has different notches on it for different cars, you can get it at like autozone for cheap $5 or less,,but you attach it to the extension and then a ratchet and turn the caliper in,,,,you ccan try to use a needle nose pliers to turn it in but thats not always easy,,turn it clockwise til it stops,,it will almost be flush with the housing

SOURCE: changed frt and rear brake
The piston must be rotated as it is pushed into the caliper. There is a special tool for this that is sold at just about all parts houses. The tool looks like a small square with various pins for various applications that goes on the end of your 3/8 drive ratchet.
