Question about 1995 Honda Civic
I need you to go under the hood and look at where the shift cables attach to the transmission, do they move when the shifter in the car is moved to all the different gears? You really only have a few choices here as to what is causing this, the shifter is broken, or the cables are broken, or the transmission has broken internally, the whole shifting mechanism must be inspected by a skilled technican to ID what is causing this in order to decide which of the above is the actual problem. I am sorry I can't give a more definite answer but a visual and hands on inspection is what is needed here.. This will not get fixed on the road you will need to have it towed to a transmission shop.
