Question about 1993 Acura Integra Hatchback
Fuel pump operation appears intermittent during start cycle - when key turned on fuel pump relay closes and runs pump for brief time then opens. Sometimes fuel pump does not run while crankng and engine will not start. No intermittent cutout problems once running I am having the same problem, is there any difference between our cars aside from the obviouse? Are there any pictures or diagrams for this relay? I looked under the dash and it is a wired mess, it's hard to tell which one it is. There are a couple of them, and all the labels are worn.
I thing it is definitely the fuel relay. I had the same problem. The relay is quite big and it is located and bolted under the dash on the driver side, brown in color. You can't miss it.

The basic operation of E.F.I systems
The fuel pump will only run approx 2 to 10 seconds after ignition is turned on while engine is not running and then waits until it receives signal from the ECU (Computer) that the engine is rotating, Therefore the problem you are experiencing could be a little more complicated to diagnose with limited information I have to work with.
I would start with fuel pump relay, to check it doesn't have intermittent fault, although I'm not sure where it is located.
Try to check the one that clicks in engine bay/ or fuse compartment when ignition switch is turned to the "on" position.
