Question about 2006 Ford F-150
If you are talking about the passenger side, are you setting something slightly heavy on the seat ( i.e. computer bag ) ? If so, this is normal, the seat sensor is registering that something ( someone ) is in the seat, but is not heavy enough to arm the airbag.
Think it is 60# to have the airbag armed with a passenger, this stops the airbag from being armed with a child seat on the seat.
If the airbag is off regardless of weight in the seat, this could be an issue with the seat sensor, and you would need to have it diagnosed by a shop that can access the SRS system ( this is not the typical code scanner ).
