Try setting all switches and controls to their full CCW or OFF positions. Then disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes, reconnect battery and don't touch any of the HVAC controls for a few minutes. The system will recalibrate itself during that time. If this does not work, you may need a professional service tech to diagnose it.

I have a 93 Nissan pathfinder, the rear window defroster dosent work, how do i trouble shoot and repair it. also, i cant seem to get the cruse control to work, how do i trouble shoot and repair it. tha

The rear window defroster can be tested by checking for power out of the fuse box to the switch which operates a relay usually 4 pin 2 pins are the controlling side and the other 2 are battery power and the window element wire. Some switches have a led light in them that shows power is completed thru the switch . With a volt meter test wires at rear window some times if to many breaks in the grid stops the system from working. the cruise control has a servo with it's own throttle cable check for broken cable and check for engine vacuum to servo. then test switches on steering column with a ohm meter for proper continuity and test brake light switch.

My Van has no heat, I have flush the radiator and heater core. It has a rear heater assy is there a ciol in the rear?

The van may have cable or vacuum control for the vent flaps.
Check if the defroster, vent controls are working
If they are, your vacuum lines are good,or your cables are good
Switch from cold to hot.listen for the flap moving(most likely under dash to right of drivers
foot)
Look to see if the heater core had been bypassed(if bought used)
If the flap for cold/hot is not working ,look under dash at center console
try to flip lever manually

Air blend doors do not work. Air blows from defroster vents

check or loss of vacuum to mode control switch in dash ac control. these are not blend doors, they are air flow control, a blend door controls the air temperature not where it comes out.

AC & Rear wiper switch button indicator lights blink

The procedure for re-setting the HVAC control panel on a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan follows:
With ignition on but not running
1. turn knob to air vents
2. turn fan knob to ON
3. temperature setting on COLD (2X) {I have dual temp controls}
4. hold top(rear wiper) and bottom (rear wiper with wash) buttons pressing down together until all the buttons cycle through (this will require 1 to 2 minutes of continuous pressing)
I learned this from a very helpful local Dodge service adviser

I have a 1994 areostar and the air only blows thru the defroster and not the vent?

Busted vacuum line to the temperature control unit, the "flap" that moves the air to different positions is controlled by vacuum pressure. You might also replace the switch.
