Engine misfires can cause that symptom. Not sure which vehicle you have. Could be the ignition timing is advanced too much if your car has a distributor.

Turn the Battery around. Or if that has been tried,
Lightly Bend the terminals that lay on top or under the battery. They shoud make contact with the battery on the top or bottom. And on the side.
Good chance that a turbo coupling is loose/torn. But, can be as simple as you just need to tighten the clamps on the compressor side outlet piping. Check all of your turbo piping for leaks, I had the same problem. And if I am right then there's should be excessive black smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe.
