Question about 2001 Mitsubishi Galant

Open Question

I was in need of an oil change for the last 4 months in my 2001 galant es v6 , while driviing i pressed the pedal a little harder and suddenly felt a pop underneath the vehicle and then followed up with a zing sound and car gave up and suddenly locked and turned off. I added oilt to the car and still wont start everythng else turns on except for the car. Tow truck dirver says it can be my timing belt? The car doesnt click , its seems like its trying..

SOURCE: Hello, I have a 96 mitsubishi galant es that wont start

could be the crank sensor, you need to check spark and fuel delivery, if you have fuel then its got to be the high tension side of things that are wrong, does this model run off a coil pack for the ht, could be that, you said you change the alternator, check connections at the rear of alternator, this could be the supply for the ht etc, good luck.

Break pedal goes straight to the floor. ABS & Break light is on

the problem is in the brake master cylinder or brake system you have a problem , probably in a leaking line or cylinder and there is probably no oil in the reservoir at all
The abs light has been telling you for a year that you have a brake problem but you happily ignored that signal and put yourself and others at risk
You will be incapable of fixing this fault yourself so take it to an accredited brake shop specialist and have the job done properly

2001 galant es shakes when you put it in drive. I changed all motor mounts, spark plugs and wires. What else could it be

If its a shake it may be a head gasket that is out. Did the cars radiator get hot ? Check the radiator and dipstick for signs of oil. The dipstick will be milky. You can usually smell oil in the radiator.

For about a week my 2001 galant es v6 would not start right away. After 4 or 5 times it would turn over and stay running after i gave it gas. I went to start it today, it started but didnt want to turn...

YOU NEED A LITTLE TUNE UP.REPLACE FUEL FILTER, REPLACE AIR FILTER,CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS.REPLACE SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES.IF ENGINE STILL SHAKE YOU COULD HAVE FUEL PUMP OR FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR PROBLEMS.
