How can you KEEP getting a dash light light,
when you check for codes the same day or
next day any light comes on & stays on after
the motor is running
Now you have cylinder misfires & probably
ruined the exhaust converter using it
You can unhook your battery for 15min. which should reset your airbag light. If it keeps coming on it is very possible it is the airbag clock spring which is located in the steering column causing the airbag light to come on. These are known to go out and cause the light to come on. The steering wheel has to be removed with a steering wheel puller to replace this part. This repair should be performed by a qualified mechanic. I had the same problem with my 05 Grand Caravan and the clock spring fixed the problem.
Looks like a bad clock spring.Don't try to make this repair unless you know what you're doing!! If the airbag blows during the process, let's just say it'll ruin your day & probably the next week. I'm a chrysler master tech,so heed my warning please. I'd tell ya how to do it but I'll get sued if you get hurt.
In most cases this problem is caused by the rotating ribbon circuit contact under the steering wheel having a broken filament, the part is known as a clock spring contact, u will need to properly disarm the airbag and remove the steering wheel to access the part. WARNING: Failure to follow factory Airbag disarming protocol can result in an unexpected Airbag deployment and possible serious personnel injury or death.
