Question about 2000 Mercury Mountaineer
Its your air bag light thats burnt out. when you have a malfunction in the air bag system usually the air bag light flashes. when its burnt out than there is a chime thats ring every 30 minutes to let you know.------------
you will have to remove the instrument cluster and replace the bulb. if you shine a flashlight on the cluster you can see the different indicators to see where the airbag lamp is.------ When you go to do the lights, the larger #194 bulbs are for cluster illumination. All of the indicator bulbs are smaller - I think they are #161 - and are readily available at most auto parts stores. Once you pull the cluster, you can replace the bulb.------ Replacing the bulb will help.--------- Thanks.Helpmech.
