What port do I add freon to on a 1989 f-150 V8? There is one on the right hand side of the radiator in front and there is a port on the passenger side next to a cylinder
also being an 89 model make sure you add the right type of refrigerant if yours is equipped the old R12, R134a will not work a good alternative is freeze 12 i have purchased it a car quest before and it works greatalso being an 89 model make sure you add the right type of refrigerant if yours is equipped the old R12, R134a will not work a good alternative is freeze 12 i have purchased it a car quest before and it works great

I have a 2000 Lesabre and it is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment right on top of the Canister. There are two ports, one is larger than the other and both have a threaded plastic cap on them. The smaller one is the low side where you can check your R-134 pressure. Start engine and run the A/C on MAX. Remove the plastic cap from the smaller valve connect your gauge to that valveFollow the instuctions and tempurature specifications on the R-134 package. There ya go man, as you're hooking up the refill line hit the trigger so u don't allow any air in the lines instead of just straight freon.
pass. side near the radiator both srv. ports are there make sure the compessor is engaged if not it wont take freon because the low side press. will be too high for a small can of 134
On the passenger side of the vehicle. look at the 2 A/C lines coming from the front of the vehicle from the condensor. (to the left of the radiator if standing in front of the vehicle) one of thoses 2 hoses wil be turning downward in about a 90 degree angle and it is right on one of thoses 2 hoses. I believe there is a radiator hose right above it blocking your view of it (pretty sure it's a radiator hose but know for sure there is a hose blocking the view). So basically right behind the radiator on the passenger side directly on one of the 2 A/C lines going towards the back of the vehicle. Best I can explain. Hope this helps and good luck.
Find the compressor, follow the pipes out from the compressor, one is smaller than the other and runs out to the front of the car. The bigger of the two will run to the passenger side and hook up thorough a tank going to the firewall. Along this line you will find a port, it should have a black plastic cap which will screw off by hand, this is the port you use to fill the system with freon.
There are 2 service valves on this modl of escort, one located on the right hand side of the radiator as you face the engine and one located next to the accumulator by the firewall on the passengers side. The high pressuresde is the one to the right of the radiator, and the suction side is close to the accumulator on the passengers side. Put freon in the passenger side next to the accumulator. The high pressure side is strictly for checking the head pressure, do not try to put freon in that side. Look for around 40 psi on the low side .. There are more technical ways to do this but this will get you into the right area. If you don't have a guage, add freon until the fan clutch quits cycling at fast idle.
should be on passenger of car will have a light blue or black cap if not missing the amount should be on core support or receiver drier small round aluminum canister must have leak if all gone
This is really a fix for a shop, but what you are looking for is a fitting that looks like the air valve on a tire... but be careful, there is also a similar fitting on your fuel rail. The fitting you are looking for should be on the A/C line near your condenser (looks like another radiator) or near the dryer (which looks like a tall can).
The Freon goes into the "suction" hose/pipe assembly. There will be a service port on this hose. The low side (blue) hose of the manifold gauge set gets connected to this fitting. The suction hose can be identified by it's larger diameter (compared to the discharge and liquid hoses). The suction hose will run from the compressor across the top of the radiator (slightly behind the radiator), then back towards the firewall on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. The service port is generally closer to the firewall, than to the compressor.
