I don't know where it is, but I can tell you how to find it, maybe. If it is semi-functional and connected, it will click when the A/C is turned on. It should click both with and without the engine running, but try both (switch will need to be on).

Have someone turn the A/C on and off while someone else listens under the hood.

Also, if you tace the wire plugged into the A/C clutch (just behind the belt on the A/C unit) maybe you can determine where that goes. The relay will be on the end of that wire.

SOURCE: 97 Chevy Blazer starter relay where is it located

The starter relay is in the engine compartment close to the battery. Its a black or gray box 4" x 4" and may say relays or nothing at all. Lift the cover and get owners manual for exact location inside the box.

SOURCE: 1998 Pontiac transport van wont start:

Well you hit all the major ones, could be crank position sensor, ignition module, a bad coil pack (it should have 3), you need to check that you have spark to each plug while the engine is turning over (!!!be careful as this will hurt if you get shocked!!!), this will rule out coil packs. if you have no spark to any plug your looking at a bad ingnition module (which is what the coil packs bolt to). Hope this gets you on the right track!

I don't know if this is what you need? The top picture is evap lines in engine compartment. As far as vac switch, check your local parts store. Talk to the service department at your local dealership. You could try looking up the part at on the internet. All I did was look up info in my database. I can't see anything from here. Hope it helps.

Replacing a starter on a 97 pontiac transport. New starter stil makes the grinding noise even with the provided shim in place. Hubby not having a good time, Help

I have replaced many of those type starters, and almost never need to use the shim. If the original starter was also aking a grinding noise, you may have a flywheel problem. (not good) If he has not tried it without the shim, have him remove the shim and see what it sounds like. He will only have to remove the front bolt, and loosen the rear bolt to remove the shim. Good luck

97 Grand Am electrical problem

If you hooked the small wires that are supposed to go on the big stud onto the small stud this will keep the starter activated. Also could have got a bad starter out of the box it happens.
