Question about 1998 Ford Expedition
Sounds like it could be the blend door motor that has failed or the blend door itself is stuck or broken. If you have manual A/C controls it could also be the potentiometer(the switch that controls the heat) or if you have EATC it might be the complete head unit that needs to be replaced. More than likely it is the blend door motor that needs replacing so that would be where I'd start testing first.
