HAVE A 2000 FORD EXPLORER THAT RECENTLY FEELS LIKE FRONT BRAKES ARE LOCKING WHEN I TRY TO STOP ...EVEN WHEN MOVING FEELS LIKE THERE GRABBING

First thing is are the wheels grabbing, you will need to drive and see if they are grabbing and then jack one wheel at a time and see which one is grabbing and go from there it could be brake hose or e-brake cable but first pinpoint the wheel or wheels. you said they are locking which ones front or rear?

1999 mazda miata is running hot. Replaced thermostat.

While the engine is cold only!!! grab your hoses connected to the radiator and see how hard or easy it is to squeeze the hose closed ?
If you can squeeze it closed replace them because its collapsing on you and stopping your car from getting the water circulation it needs to keep from over heating. Or your timings off.It could be a lot of things but do the easiest things first. Hope its your hose!!

Sounds like you have sticking caliper pistons, have you ever changed brake fluid? Replace calipers and flush brake fluid and clean ABS sensors with
ABS safe brake clean.

Engine stopped unnexpectedly and restarted no problem

Sure you can, you can grab the correct fuel filter at your local Canadian tire, pep boys, part source, automotive warehouse. and do it. It's as simple as disconnecting a big pop can shaped alumni mum bottle and snapping in another. I can provide further detailed instructions if you would like.

it could be the brake pads have absorbed moisture and on the first apply they grab. I would replace the pads with a better quality and see what happens. The noise your hear under the hood is the ABS pump working because the wheels are locking up .
