Might check to make sure your cap is tight , Also might be you need a vented cap, But most common you may have put fuel in one time or another with the car running or left the door open and need to reset your ecm. "computer" tke to autozon and have them to clear your code , It's free. good luck

My check gas cap light is on but no check engine light came on

The check gas cap light was in response to complaints of the check engine light being on for loose/missing gas caps. So now when the PCM sees a large EVAP leak the first thing it does is illuminate the check gas cap light (on models equipped with the light). Since it doesn't know if the gas cap is on or not it can have other issues like a vent solenoid stuck open which the PCM would be unable to distinguish between that and the gas cap left off.

There will still be a trouble code in the PCM for the EVAP system.

What does the red light buy the empty gas light mean?

It means you only have a few gallons of gas left and you need to find a gas station quick before you run out of gas and have to start pushing.

Engine check light is on what i can i do

Most of the time Check engine light will come due to Gas and gas cap issues. If you ran out of gas and gas lost pressure it will bring the light on. Make sure to fill take with premium (91 octane) gas and make sure gas cap is closed completely. loose gas cap will cause the engine light to come on. If after doing this you still get the engine light warning, take to authorized mercedez deal for code check.

Light on my dashboard

ford taurus's are well known for this. the seal on the gas cap goes bad. before you replace the gas cap make sure when you close the gas cap you are turning it at least 5 clicks. if light stays on get a new gas cap. they are easy to install all you need to do is remove the gas cap.remove the gas cap strap. put ******** the new cap, close cap and turn 5 clicks. not clicking 5 time can set a p400 or p401 evap code causing the check enging /ses light to come on.
