The first 2 times my check engine light came on the dealership said that it was my gas cap so they replaced it twice. But it came on again and my brother-in-law checked it with his check engine device and came up with the code listed above.

First, you have to have the trouble codes cleared from the computer memory to make the warning lights go off. And the problem may be a leak in the gas tank venting system instead of the gas cap. The gas cap is the most often cause, but not always. You may have to get a shop to check for leaks.
The fuel cap needs to be tight or it will set a code. It's a pressurized fuel system. Try to tighten snug the code should clear itself. If this does'nt work exchage the fuel cap, it may not be working properly.
The factory remote start system is designed to not function
when ever a check engie light is illuminated. The issue would have to be diagnosed by dealer and repaired. The remote starter should work again after repairs.
Remove the gas cap, clean the surfaces and then replace the gas cap again, firmly twisting it in place. The gas cap either isn't sealing completely or the gas cap needs to be replced.
As an alternative, take your car to Autozone and have them hook up the diagnostic mether to read the problem codes. it' free, and should confirm that the gas cap isn't properly seated, or give you the code for whatever the problem might be. 9 times out of 10 it's the gas cap not being fully seated.
make sure the gas cap is on tight. vapor recovery system depends on the closure of the gas cap. if that did not solve your problem, I would suggest to get a new gas cap first, before going to the dealer or any repair shop for a turn-up.
Check engine light has **** to do with any of what you listed. It only relates to pressures and sensors. Retorque your throttle body, check resistance on your sensors and if that doesn't work change the map sensor. They're bad on these vehicles
Yes, the gas cap will cause the Check Engine Light to come on. Will set code P0441 if I remember correctly. It should be okay to drive it. If you would like to confirm the code, take the truck to an auto parts store like Autozone and have them hook up their scan tool and read the code. If its P0441 it will probably be something like EVAP or Evaporative system leak.
Its an easy enough fix while your there too, just pick up a new gas cap or you could pick up an OEM one from the dealership.
